Registered Association

The association “European Coalition of  Cities Against Racism” was founded during the Steering Committee meeting in Graz, Austria, on 10 November 2007.

On 21 February 2008 the association “European Coalition of  Cities Against Racism” was officially registered by the Registration Court in Nuremberg, Germany. After the registration the suffix “e.V.” (Registered Association) was added.

During the Steering Committee meeting in Toulouse, France, on 21 November 2009
the chairman, Dr. Hans Hesselmann (Nuremberg / Germany), was re-elected unanimously for a period of two years.  
Helena Rojas-Lundgren (Botkyrka / Sweden) and Jean-Paul Makengo (Toulouse / France) were elected as deputy chairpersons.
