All members have to pay an annual membership fee which is payable on February 1 of each business year. The amount of the membership fee is suggested by the Steering Committee and adopted by the General Conference.


In 2007 the founding members adopted the following suggestion:

Up to 20.000 inhabitants, cities do not have to pay an annual membership fee
Up to 100.000 inhabitants, they pay 500 Euros per year
up to 500.000 inhabitants, they pay 1000 Euros per year
and over 500.000 inhabitants, they pay an annual fee of 1500 Euros

In a particular case the Steering Committee may release members from the obligation to pay.
